TV and Film Work

With an MA in Screenwriting from the National Film and Television School, Liv has written extensively for both film and television. Early in her career, Liv wrote and produced several short films which appeared at BAFTA-qualifying festivals such as Encounters, Aesthetica and Galway. Liv’s short film, Cutting, an exploration of weight cutting in combat sports, won a Royal Television Society Award. 

Since then, Liv has written animation as part of an anthology series with Nexus Studios and has developed several original TV projects with companies such as Wall to Wall North, Mam Tor Productions and Route 24. 

Talent Programmes

While building her career, Liv has been selected for several prestigious schemes, including those supported by the BBC. She began with BBC Northern Voices, a platform celebrating emerging talent from the North West, before being chosen for the BBC Scripted scheme as part of BBC Drama Room: the BBC’s flagship initiative for nurturing new writers. Out of approximately 5,000 entries, Liv was one of only twelve writers selected. 

The scheme provides a tailored programme of workshops, masterclasses and networking opportunities designed to refine writers’ skills and connect them with industry professionals. In its second phase, Liv worked on her original spec script, receiving one-to-one guidance from an experienced Script Editor so produce a polished script ready to share with the industry.

Upon graduating, Liv also won a competition with Mediapro Studios, the renowned international production company, which picked up her grounded sci-fi series Hard Wired.
